Well I’m in a little bit of a quandary here I really don’t know what to do. Well I know what I will do but should I do something more is the question.

Such a cryptic introduction sentence, well allow me to elaborate.

The first thing is my dog. My dear puppy Dio. A couple months back I noticed there was something up with him so I took him to the vet. It would appear that Dio has a tooth infection. Or so they think. Presented with a couple of options including just medicating him to see if it would clear up the infection, I chose to take the medicating route. We started with a weeks worth of medication to see if the symptoms will improve before committing to a full run as I would just move ahead with a medical procedure if that was the case. After a week there were signs of improvement. I took the next three weeks of meds to take care of this infection which we believed was now the cause. The meds targeted the tooth infection. Everything appeared to have gotten better. Well a month later (after completing the run of med) unfortunately the symptoms are returning. The process for the tooth extraction well I need to find the estimate to confirm but I remember being quoted between Two and $3000.

And…

My furnace broke yesterday. I remember when these things were supposed to last you 25 years. It was installed 11 years ago. This one is really making me mad because do people have 10/$15,000 every 10 years to replace a furnace I’m not even sure what it will cost right now but I remember was not cheap. Hopefully I will not have to replace it. A technician will be coming today to investigate the problem and to see if they can get it working again.

I survived all the way through the pandemic without begging for money. Many people asked me if I had a go fund me I refused to create one instead I create an art and T-shirts, stickers and pins and alternate matters to create a revenue strain to survive. And I did.

Well… Since we have reopened I have barely had any successful events everything is losing money. Attendances are down on all my events. Sometimes you may think it looks like there are a lot of people there, but that a lot is not enough. Seven out of 36 events promoted to date were successful. That is not even a 20% success rate. Crazy right. I am not one to complain, I just take my losses with a smile, but things are not looking up. With what I have upcoming it looking like only 2 out of 10 will be successful and or break even. I know I can still continue to sell stuff to try to offset these expenses which is likely what I will do, although now for the first time I am actually considering looking for a “handout”.

I had a long talk with a friend of mine the other day, another touring/music industry professional and he said to me he feels it’s going to be five years before things get back to normal. Five wow that is crazy to think…

Anyhow here’s a little update like I said I don’t know what I will do I have some decisions to make. I guess I need to see what happens when the furnace repairman shows up today, and when my vet sends me the quote for potential surgery for Dio
