Its a big show today! Very excited for this one. Anthrax’s 40th Anniversary tour, I’m proud to be a part of this one. Even though I have hosted them a couple times already,I always forget to bring something to get signed. Not this time. I am bringing my copy of spreading the disease. It is already signed by by Joey, About 17 years ago, now Scott, Frank and Charlie will be on it. No Dan Spitz though.
It still blows me away the I get to work with bands that I listened to as I was growing up. It’s not like a really set plans in motion to create this career when I was young, It just happened, and for that I am lucky.
I attended Duran Duran last night, a little shy of 40 years ago, when they were the biggest thing around, they were not interesting to me. Metal all the way. Regardless you they were all over radio and every store television you cannot turn a corner without hearing them. Many many many years later I thought it would be interesting to see. I ended up with a great seat for myself, thanks to a friend. And made my way down to the concert. For sheer irony, I wore my ‘Venom – Welcome to hell’ shirt. It did get me a couple of smiles. I did know the majority of the songs they played. It was a fun time.
