Greetings and Hello!
The time has arrived for me to update and change my website, so here we are and welcome to it. It’s been over 15 years since the last revamp of this site. I believe this is the 5th version now launched, including the original Angelfire version. The dot com has been in existence for well over two decades. Four changes over twenty years. Would this be considered keeping it fresh?
You may have noticed there are a few new features added here. First now there is this blog. Inertia Idioms? Noel’s Notes? Have not named it officially aside from blog. I may announce some events here first, share relevant information for shows. Maybe write previews or reviews for shows. Blather about daily life. Who knows. The possibilities are endless. I will be attempting to write something daily.
I now have a shop! Which will include items we have for sale, usually limited editions or limited quantities, as you may see there is a new patch. Some magnets left from my 25th anniversary and a few hockey pucks from the 20th anniversary. Also, taking a page from the school of Gene Simmons you will see a link to redbubble where some logo branded items are constantly available for purchase. I have bought a couple items from the site to assess their quality and I was satisfied with what I received, making the decision to easier to allow them to offer my merchandise for sale.
The design has been changed as you may notice. Now the option to share events through your favourite social or messenger programs has been added. In the near future, an add to calendar option will be included within the events as well, to allow you to set reminders for yourself. Overall the simple basic layout of the event itself has not changed, I felt it clear, straightforward, and uncluttered. As the saying goes, if its not broken…
And finally we have added a ‘buy me a beer’ link. Why? Why not. I saw this ‘buy me a coffee’ thing that was going around, I’m not a mocha-frappa-choco-latte-vanilla-mint-frothed-advocado type of coffee drinker (and if you are, thats cool, I hope its tasty for you) , I do prefer my EU brews and Ontario Micro’s, so if you like the blog, or like what I do, or have ever just wanted to get me a beer at a show, but never had the chance or I could not accept due to driving or other responsibilities, well, now here’s your chance to do so.
A friend pointed out to me that aside from people who know Inertia, I didn’t really have a strong web presence. This was surprising. Once I viewed the information presented to me, a plan was set into motion to change that. Taking this information. And some information I learned while attending Inferno Fest and Music Conference this past April, I set wheels in motion to change this. With the help of an absolutely amazing person, my new website has been created. Voila here we are.
I will wrap this up with many thanks out to Alia for the creation of a brand new website with all the necessary behind the scenes workings to put and keep my domain high in the proper searches. Mark for his years of work behind the scenes tweaking and maintaining, making changes and dealing with glitches and being there to solve and resolve any issues there have been with my site over the past 15+ years. I also need to thank Olya and Arnt for inspiration and opening my eyes. You both played pivotal roles which led to my decision to redo, overhaul and change everything up. Cheers to the four of you.
