Norwegian music collective Wardruna are now announcing the second part of the world tour that commenced in 2024. Over forty dates in Europe and North America have been confirmed, including iconic venues and places such as the Pompeii Amphitheatre in Italy, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and Massey Hall In Toronto. Wardruna will tour in support of their new, highly acclaimed album Birna.

Wardruna is a Norwegian music constellation dedicated to weaving together the ancient sounds and traditions of the north into a modern soundscape. They use a broad selection of both traditional and historical Nordic instruments. Non-traditional instruments and other sources of sound such as trees, stones, bones, water and fire are used to enhance the nature of the theme being ‘portrayed’ in each case. Research and serious study form an important foundation for our music, but our focus is fixed on sowing new seeds rather than recitation. Wardruna gives voice to past nature-based traditions that still resonates and carry relevance in the present. They take thoughts, tools and methods from the past and use them to create new music which builds on the contemporary as well as the ancient.
Alongside his work with Wardruna, Einar Selvik has composed music for large tv and game productions such as Vikingsand Assassin’s Creed – Valhalla, he gives tutorials and lectures on Old Norse literature, musicology, instruments and philosophy, and he has worked with renowned artists such as Mari Boine, Tina Guo, Matoma and Eivør, including appearances on Norwegian, Danish and Polish national television.
